°If we talk about the one who helped writers to flourish and to be a part of today’s society, the one who is known as the “Poet of the East” mostly the name we listen is Allama Iqbal’s.

°If we talk about today, today is 3rd of March, “writers day”. For celebrating this today’s day we have to encourage the writers whether they are local, famous or whether they are with us or not. By listening this type of day, most of the people start to think about *The Allama Iqbal*

°So let’s start Unveiling :

° Iqbal is known as one of the most important figures in Urdu and Persian literature, having the special ability to write in both languages.

°Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I am talking about our national poet, whom generations of Pakistanis can never forget. Is it just because he is the national poet of Pakistan? No! Allama Iqbal has done many things for the development of Pakistan. He presented the idea of Pakistan as a separate homeland for Muslims to resolve the tensions between Hindus and Muslims.
°He expressed the feelings of the Muslim generations and others in the form of poetry. His goal was to promote the recognition of the collective self at a higher level within humanity and to revive Islamic values and culture.

°He was born on November 9, 1877, in Punjab, Pakistan, in a Kashmiri family and received his education at Scotch Mission College in Sialkot. He was a poet, philosopher (lover of wisdom), politician, lawyer, and scholar. He received the title of Allama in 1922 for his learning and knowledge. However, Iqbal’s true passion was literature and philosophy.

°In his poetry, he always conveyed the message to his followers to aim high, not be afraid, develop themselves, and achieve self-realization. His poetry often called for unity and reform.

°He left us at the age of 60 on April 21, 1938, in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

°”Allama Iqbal’s dream of a separate Pakistan has come true, but he had another dream as well. Allama Iqbal desired to see a system with no discrimination based on caste, creed, or religion, aimed at human welfare. If we strive for this, we can fulfill Iqbal’s dream.

°Now it’s time to end our lecture for today, so I will conclude with a powerful message from Iqbal to the youth:

‘You have sofas from Europe, your carpets from Iran,
My eyes weep blood when I see the youth in such luxury and ease.
What good is it if you possess the splendor of Chosroes’ kingdom,
If you do not possess the bravery of Ali or the contentment of Sulayman?
Do not look for this in the glitter of today’s civilization;
You will find this contentment in the peak of Imaan.
When an eagle spirit awakens in the youth,
It sees its destination in the heavens.
Despair not, for despair brings about the decline of knowledge and soul.
The hope of a believer is among the confidants of God.
You are not dwelling in the dome of a royal palace;
You are an eagle, make your dwelling on the highest of mountains.’

°Thank you.
